Planetary Considerations
The Paradigm of Connection calls for big changes in the way we view the world. It requires our re-evaluating most of our assumptions about health and health care. It requires our recognizing that our thoughts and feelings affect not only the processes we experience within our own bodies, but the very matter of which the physical universe is made.
The implications are profound not only for our personal health, but for the healing of the planet. Just as our personal health is a reflection of our state of mind, and consequently of how we manage our energy, so is the health of the planet a reflection of our collective consciousness.
As we accept responsibility for our own healing, we begin to accept responsibility for the healing of the earth. We each contribute to the collective consciousness, and hence the physical reality we see "out there." Each moment spent entertaining thoughts of violence contributes to violence in the world. Each moment spent opening our hearts contributes to healing the world.
As long as we believe that we are separate from each other and from our environment, we will act in fragmented ways. We will experience confusion, fear, and conflict. When we see ourselves as inseparably connected to the whole, we recognize the interdependence of all living entities. We embrace the magnificence that is the Mysterium that animates our life on earth.
