Growing Your Own

Growing your own food can be a very pleasurable and satisfying experience. Not only will you have tastier fruits and vegetables, you'll save money and get a little exercise and sunshine at the same time. An added benefit is that you can eliminate or control the chemicals used - the fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides.

Even the smallest plot of land can yield a fair crop. You might consider tearing out your lawn and replacing it with a vegetable garden. There is probably enough space devoted to lawns in the United States to feed the entire population!
